Todd Goes Global!
Everyone knows by now that I am a HUGE Todd Rundgren fan. He has created some of our most iconic pop songs: “Can We Still Be Friends?”, “Hello It’s Me”, “I Saw The Light”, “A Dream Goes On Forever” and of course, “Bang On The Drum All Day”.
Todd has just released a new CD called “Global”, and it is a terrific collection of music with a noticeable “EDM” vibe to it – and Todd is on an extensive tour to support it!
Todd On David Letterman!
Rundgren made an appearance on David Letterman to promote the CD – playing all night with the band – and he performs a snippet of “Evrybody” with Paul Shaffer and the band on the April 27th show…here is a clip:
Todd’s “Letterman” Compilation!
Fans around the world are supporting “Global” by sharing great concert clips and material like this terrific compilation of ALL of Todd’s Letterman appearances over the years!
Kudos to “Wild d” for posting this! As I said, fans are sharing so much great stuff…here’s another example of the “GLOBAL” effort to support Todd!
Todd Rundgren, DāM-FunK and the Global Singers kicked off a three night stand April 10-12 at The Egyptian Theater, in Park City, Utah.
Here is one of the great new songs – “Global Nation!”
Kudos to Todd fan “mrtrips99″ for posting this on youtube! As you are about to see, everyone is excited about seeing Todd live!
The “Worldwide Epiphany” Stage Rush!
Todd’s playing a set full of new songs and some classic oldies, if you want to call “Worldwide Epiphany” an oldie – it still sounds as fresh today as when he released it twenty years ago!
Here is Todd’s ‘Global Tour’ from Grand Rapids, MI 4/23/15 – and yes, he captures a bit of a stage rush as Todd kicks into gear!
I got this from “Lridesagain” on Youtube – thanks so much for posting!
Todd’s “Lost” Interview!
I also posted a classic “lost” interview from Todd circa 1990, as he was promoting “Nearly Human” – you can read his interview and see his appearance on Letterman from that night by clicking on my story here:
And finally, if you want to get some vintage Utopia, there is a fascinating release out as well!
The founder of England’s legendary “Knebworth” festival has released a deluxe box set with all of Utopia’s performances there – read all about it here:
And while some fans complained about the sound quality, it’s another way to remember how great the band was – and make sure you buy Todd’s new CD to support the cause!
